StopTout.com launched in July 2006, with the objective of ending the touting of tickets through internet sites by creating an online community where fans of Music, Sport and Theatre, can buy and sell tickets to sold out events at face value.
How Does It Work?
OK, lets say you have a spare ticket to an event, you lost it on our site in an online auction. Other members will bid their ‘etix’ to win the auction and the right to buy your ticket at face value. At the end of the auction you get the cash for your ticket plus the amount of ’etix’ that the winner has bid. The ‘etix’ get added to your account giving you more bidding power when you see a ticket listed that you want.
How Can I Gain ‘etix’?
On joining StopTout.com you will receive 100 free ‘etix’, after that you will need to sell your spare tickets through our online auctions to gain more ‘etix’. This stops touts using the site, as once a member has used their ‘etix’ they are unable to bid for tickets unless they sell tickets for face value through the site.
